Runes are a means to interpret and understand the Universe and all layers of existence through symbols and meanings.

A means of learning to hear and interpret the whispers of the runes is through meditation. Meditation may take practice but combined with serious study all that may be required is the ability to sit quietly at least once a day, holding a rune or runes in quiet focus and having awareness of the concepts that enter consciousness within the ‘feel’ of each rune.

Following a rune meditation it may be useful to keep a diary of the reflections and correspondences as sometimes the information that enters consciousness can be extensive.

Each rune has a particular focus that is acquired and interpreted in many ways. It is the ‘feel’ of each rune that has informed my own rune interpretations as documented within this web site.

The runic layers of meaning are self-contained and can be accessed through sustained focus on the runes both individually and collectively. The use of one of the known oldest 24 rune rows in existence here is only my personal preference.

The history of the runes as a tool of communication, magic and divination is documented fully by other authors (See Bibliography.)
